Honkai Star Rail is chock-full of playable characters, but if you want to pull a few of your favorites, you're going to need plenty of Stellar Jades. This in-game currency is Star Rail's version of Primogems, and lets you purchase Star Rail Passes and Star Rail Special Passes which are needed to Warp for new characters.
Thankfully though, if you're running short on Stellar Jades you can make use of Honkai Star Rail codes. These codes are dished out by HoYoverse and offer a range of HSR freebies, but the main attraction is of course free Stellar Jades. If you're after some free loot we've got details on the latest working Honkai Star Rail codes below.

How to redeem Honkai Star Rail codes
Like other HoYoverse games, Honkai Star Rail codes can be redeemed both in-game and through an official website.
How to redeem Star Rail codes on the website
Head to the Honkai Star Rail Redeem Code page, log in with your HoYoverse account, and choose the server you are playing on. The site should then add your Character Nickname in for you, and then you just have to paste the code in and click "Redeem". If you've entered in a working code, you'll get a notification saying it has gone through, and then you can grab your rewards via the in-game mail system.
How to redeem Star Rail codes within the game
To redeem codes in-game, you'll need to:
- Tap the mobile phone in the top left of the screen
- Then the three dots in the right
- Choose "Redemption Code"
- And then enter your code and click "Confirm"
How to get more Stellar Jades
Want to get more Stellar Jades in Honkai Star Rail? There are a number of ways you can earn more of the crucial in-game currency:
- Chests - Stellar Jades can be found in Basic Treasure chests that are scattered across different areas. If you come across a chest or spot one in the distance, make sure you head on over and open it up.
- Missions - You can earn Stellar Jades as you progress through the story and complete missions. Stellar Jades are awarded after completing mainline Trailblaze Missions as well as the Adventure Missions side quests. You can use the Rewards Preview section in the Missions screen to see what Stellar Jades are on offer with each Adventure Mission and Trailblaze Mission. You can see an example below, with the description of the mission in-question blurred out.
- To access this menu, tap the icon that looks like a clipboard on the left of your screen near the mini-map.
- Achievements - Free Stellar Jades are also awarded when you hit specific milestones in the game and unlock new Achievements. There are plenty of rewards available this way so if you ever see a red exclamation mark by the Achieved option in the phone menu click on that and claim your free Stellar Jades.
- Text Messages - Honkai Star Rail has many cool features, but one neat little touch which helps draw you into the game's world more is the text messages you receive from other characters. You'll receive texts regularly, as characters chat to you about a variety of different things.
- It's always worth replying to these messages, not just because it helps you get to know these characters better - but also because you'll be rewarded with Stellar Jades! Each time you reply to a text message and go through all the conversation options you'll be rewarded with 5 Stellar Jades. When you get sent a new text message a notification icon will appear near the in-game map in the top left corner.
- Character Trials - Completing 5 star character trials will also earn you free Stellar Jades. These trials don't take too long to complete, but are only available while the banner is running. After you complete a character trial for the first time you will claim your rewards. You can replay the trial but can't earn the same rewards again.
- Talk to Pom-Pom - You shouldn't really need a reason to speak to Pom-Pom, the lovable conductor of the Astral Express. But if you do then one big reason is the free Stellar Jades the NPC dishes out. Pom-Pom hands out rewards for each new Trailblaze Level a player reaches. Different levels offer different rewards but you can get free Stellar Jades for hitting certain Trailblaze Levels. You'll be able to claim these rewards after you board the Astral Express for the first time and get access to the Parlor Car. Just speak to Pom-Pom and ask "How's my Trailblaze Level?"
- Twitch Drops - For a limited-time only HoYoverse is also handing out free Stellar Jades via Twitch Drops. Honkai Star Rail Twitch Drops were available at the game's launch and will be offered until Wednesday, 24 May 2023. To be eligible for Twitch Drops you will have to link the account you use to access HSR to your Twitch account.
- Operation Briefing - Completing missions listed in Operation Briefing also hands out free Stellar Jades. You can access the Operation Briefing menu via the row of buttons that appears in the top right hand corner of your screen when you're exploring. The button you want looks like a card with a ring round it.
- Select it and it'll bring up a menu with a few tabs, including Survival Index. Click the tab next to that to bring up the Operation Briefing screen.
- Daily Training - Once you get to Jarilo-VI you will unlock the option to do Daily Missions via the Daily Training menu. You can earn Stellar Jades and other rewards by completing these missions, which refresh each day. The Daily Training menu can be found in the same screen where you access Operation Briefing.
- World Shops - In each world you'll find an NPC who sells items using a currency exclusive to that region. At the Herta Space Station the special currency exclusive to this area is called Hertareum, and the NPC you'll want to find is Wen Shiqi on the Master Control Zone level. NPCs like Wen run what Star Rail calls World Shops, and each shop has stretch goals where you're rewarded for spending money. You will get rewards including free Stellar Jades for shopping at these places.
- Trailblazing Will - You can claim Stellar Jades and get free Star Rail Passes after hitting certain Trailblaze Levels, via the Trailblazing Will menu which appears in the Travel Log screen. 800 Stellar Jades are offered for reaching Trailblaze Level 25 and then again for hitting Trailblazer Level 35.
- To access the Travel Log, look at the row of buttons that shows up in the top right hand corner of your screen when you're exploring any area. You'll want to select the first button from the left. Then, on the next screen select Trailblazing Will. If you've managed to reach any of the listed goals make sure you claim your rewards.
- Survey Reward - You can receive 50 Stellar Jades for free if you complete a survey about your experiences with Honkai Star Rail. You can get a link to this survey by looking through your in-game Mailbox. This can be accessed via the phone menu, and one of the first messages in your inbox will be from Pom-Pom asking you to take part in the survey.
- Warp Trotters - If you come across the Warp Trotter enemy make sure you fight it. Defeating Warp Trotters can earn you Stellar Jades.
- Simulated Universe - You can earn Stellar Jades via the Weekly Points Reward scheme in the Simulated Universe mode. The Simulated Universe is one of Herta's pet projects. You get access to the Simulated Universe after completing Simulated Universe: First Closed Beta, which is part of the Trailblaze Mission called Today Is Yesterday's Tomorrow. The Simulated Universe is accessed on the Herta Space Station.
- Forgotten Hall - Stellar Jades can also be earned through the Forgotten Hall game mode. This mode sees you battling tough enemies to earn rewards. You access it via the mirror on the Parlor Car of the Astral Express, and it unlocks after you complete the Fleeting Lights Adventure Mission.
- Tutorials - A small number of Stellar Jades can be earned by going through individual lessons in the Tutorial mode.
- Events - Taking part in some limited-time events will also reward you with free Stellar Jades. HoYoverse has already confirmed that the Boulder Town Super League event, which is launching in phase 2 of update 1.0, will dish our Stellar Jades as a reward.
- All-Stars Invite Missions - While not Stellar Jades, you can grab a bunch of Warps by completing a few social sharing missions over at the HoYoverse site.
